I belong to a team of poker players as protégés of SplitSuit. It is such a benefit to my progress that I am offering a similar opportunity for up and coming micro limit full ring no limit hold’em players. There are up to four (4) slots available.

The general idea is for you to have constant interaction with your team members via Skype voice/chat and regular coaching from me. Having your team members to bounce ideas off of is incredibly valuable. Having your coach be there at every step of the journey nudging the team along with insight into the various levels of the game is priceless if you continue on to small and mid stakes.

You don’t have to be a winner right now

It’s my job to make you a winner. That’s where I’ll get paid off. The more I can increase your winrate the more I’ll make. What I ask in return is 25% of your profits. If you are a losing or breakeven player at the moment then 25% of nothing is pretty slim. I’m confident that you’ll have a respectable winrate and be able to move up the limits in a reasonable amount of time. Certainly faster than going at it alone.

Qualities I’m looking for:

I am looking only for serious grinders or those who absolutely plan to become serious grinders. I’m not looking for anyone who isn’t quite sure whether or not they can stick with the game. You will have already professed your love for the game of poker and have that almost insane obsession for the game that most people simply can’t understand. If your friends are tired of you talking about poker, this is probably you.

Bankroll

You’ll need your own bankroll. This isn’t much if you’re playing at the penny stakes. I preach bankroll management and there are good reasons for it. You should have around $60 in your poker account for .01/.02 (2NL), maybe pretty close to $150 if you play 5NL and twice that for 10NL.

If you play 10NL now and have $140 in your account I’ll kindly ask you to step down to 5NL until we build the proper roll.

The team will consist of 5NL and 10NL players. If you play 2NL, that’s fine. We’ll get you up to 5NL in no time. If you already play 25NL you may be a bit too advanced for this team unless you’re really struggling. I’d then ask that you step down to 10NL and progress with the rest of the team. The goal is to have the team as a whole at 50NL well before the end of the year.

Software tools

You’ll need the right software tools on your computer and your computer should be strong enough to handle multible tables and the database software. Your Internet connection should be reliable as well.

If you already own and use PokerTracker3 that’s fine, but I recommend HoldemManager.

.

You’ll also need Skype, Mikogo (screen sharing software), and a relatively decent headset.

A few of the terms:

I guarantee to coach you in an official coaching session at least one hour per week. I’ll be available on Skype between coaching sessions for hand reviews, pep talks, and general funny business.

There is no set number of hands to get in each month, but I will know, as will the rest of your team, if you’re slacking in terms of playing. No slackers. You may have a part time or even a full time job and that’s fine, but you should still be dedicated to getting the hours in playing poker.

The term of our team is for the rest of 2010. It will officially end at midnight January 31st, 2010. I will have another team or two ready to go for 2011.
